Surely, the tunings/ temperaments, likewise, must have inter-relationships with the notes that comprise them. Is this a new approach? Has this been dealt with here, in the past? Would it be able to account for "sad" scales (minor), among so many other phenomena?

Such a study could be of immense value in raga interpretations.
