MICROFEST 2004

Tuned pianos and gamelans

At Lyman Hall, Thatcher Music Building, Pomona College, corner of
College and 4th in Claremont California.

Free admission!

A wonderful program of unusual and unusually beautiful music as a part
of the MicroFest Southern California festival of microtonal music with
the Ives works for quartertone pianos performed by Margaret and Karl
Kohn and pieces by Liam Mooney and Ron George and the Tambellan.

Also featuring the Harvey Mudd American Gamelan playing new works by
Bill Alves, Tom Flaherty, and Pete Steele. Come hear the enchanting
bell-like tones of this ensemble of gongs and metallophones, joined by
Mary Dropkin on harp.
