Hey John L., all,

I wound up at Waldorf's web site, http://www.waldorf-gmbh.de/ the other day
& promptly fell in love with the MicroWave XT. Hey, it's big, orange, & has
44 knobs. What more could u want :-) Unlike many other companies, they have
a lot of info on their site, even complete PDF manuals.

This page is where they've got a bit of info on how to use it microtonaly,
for a huge range of equal-temperaments :

http://www.waldorf-gmbh.de/microwave2/microwave2_additional.html

List price for the base 10-voice model is US$1695, but is at Zzounds,
http://www.zzounds.com/ for $1189.00

The 30-voice version (also available as an expansion option for the 1-voice
model) lists for $2195

Seeing that as soon as I can afford it I'm gonna get Glen to build me a
31-tone G&L Legacy electric, the Waldorf will be a perfect match. And maybe
a Doepfer Schaltwerk analog midi sequencer( http://www.doepfer.com ) for
desert. Yup, I'd love to not have to spend all day in front of a computer.
Anyway, little more than a fantasy right now.

Oh, it's 8-part multi-timbral, & you can have an independent arpegiator on
each part, & those knobs work as MIDI controllers. There r mp3 samples of
what these beauties can do.

Salut,
Drew
