Regarding just fiddling- do you know the work of Tony Conrad at SUNY
Buffalo- played with L. Young in the 60s (still does occassionally), has
a CD coming out with Pauline Oliveros and has a great CD set called
Early Minimalism- easy to find his URL wq/ a search (I don't have it
handy). He has actual notated scores of his stuff for varius string ensembles.

There is also the Riley stuff he does/did for Kronos-

Dear Allen
yes i am familiar with Mr. conrads Minimalism~but i am unaware of the piece with
Pauline Oliveros please elaborate. I am very fond of the Obsidian Ocelot piece as
well as the Pyre of angus is in Kathmandu and the work he did with Faust and i
caught his show with Gatr del sol in atlanta a few years back. I am mainly
intersted in the hz values that folks assign and the tunings i had been tuning the
violin to CCGC fo a while but it was murder on the bridge but I am assuming that
for a regular Just Tuning
g=192hz
d=288hz
a=432hz
e=648hz

does anyone else have any suggestions they might like to shoot out??
