I've posted some new MIDI sequences on my web site, tuned to 5-limit
and 7-limit (as well as the original 12-tET).

http://www.idcomm.com/personal/jadl

Get 'em while they're hot! Included:

br-pv24.zip: Brahms Piano Variations, Op. 24, three tunings.
br-ps-01.zip: Brahms Piano Sonata number 1, three tunings.
br-bal10.zip: Brahms Ballades, Op. 10, three tunings.
sb-imp90.zip: Schubert Impromptus, Op. 90, three tunings.
b-b-b.zip: Bach Chaconne in D- with variations, three tunings.

They're all lovely, IMHO, and most of the credit goes to Bunji Hisamori,
who recorded the sequences. My contribution is exclusively tuning,
which DOES add a little extra something!

As before, my recommendation is 7-limit, even for the Bach. If your ear
won't go along, try the 5-limit version. And please let me know what
you think, either on the list, or private e-mail (jadl@idcomm.com).

Thanks to John deLaubenfels for offering JIRelay... For some years I"ve
heard about adaptive tuning. I tried out JIRelay a little bit, and listened
to some of the Beethoven. This adaptive tuning is really interesting... I'd
encourage John to keep hacking at this program.

I also wonder if John could provide some kind of more detailed algorithmic
description of what the program is doing, and guidelines for making ".tux"
files?

Is there any on-line resource for more information on adaptive tuning?

Thanks,
Rick
