Fairly recently I was talkin' with Berkeley student-scientist about this
list and all the arcane language - being that linguistics is my other BigTime
Preoccupation/Obsession... He was _delighted_ that his field - quantum physics
and "the reverse engineering of the universe" - has some rather bland, silly
arcana compared to the evident plethora richness amongst us "musical
mad-hatter lunatics."
He said is all we need now is a series of scales/modes named after the
Elder Gods of the Cthulhu Mythos*
... hmm, I have for some time liked the word "chthonic"...
