As I can't just pop back on here w/o somethin' to offer... my humble
gifts to ya guys is my new sig.line below & a 2-for-1 nonJI/nonET scale:
7th root of 20:13 and 21st root of 20:13 Spooky hemitonic pentatonics
(i.e. C, D Eb G B); tense 3rds - both major & minor; augmented & diminished
chords AND drones/dronality in these scales really blow 12tET & many other scales
clean away...
7th root of 20:13 it's close to 11EDO/tET but has more inTENSE
"colour-saturation" than dissonance IMMHO & some really juicy 31/17tET-ish "wolves" (ie
427 & 746 cents)!
IMO 21st Root of 20:13 is kinda neo-Gothic-to-XenakisByzantineSeive-like
in sound in low registers... slightly more South East Asian in mid & hi
ones... I reaaally like scales like this that have an odd East-West _frisson_ going
on. 21st root of 20:13 is also quite bit more "affective" with it's augment
intense chromatic scale-ness... String, string-like & other odd-harmonic
dominant timbral sounds are best AFAIK.
