Greetings Felllow Microtonalists:

Does anybody know if there is any information on the web about
the Motorola Scalatron?

I would like to link to a brief description and history of the
instrument and, ideally a photo of either the 24-tone or the 31-tone
keyboard version.

(BTW, Motorola offers no information on any of their Web sites
about this, their one and only contribution to the history of
microtonal music.)

The best person would be George Secor, who i doubt is on the net. I will
try to get a number if you wish. Erv Wilson, Arthur Frick are the only
other people I know who have one. Erv's is down at the moment. I use a
Motorola tuner. I don't think you're are going to find anything on the web!

Queens College has one of the scalatrons (I think the department is called
the Aaron Copland School of Music or something).

To Frank Oteri:

I heard rumor once that Paul R. at McMaster
had a scalatron.
