[John A. deLaubenfels:]
>I amused myself by working out the math for 34-tET (no logs, just
dividing 1200 cents by 34 and getting just under 35.3 cents per
microtone. Not a meantone scale: C to D is 6 steps; D to E is 5.

I've used some alternate mappings for seven note 34e scales with two
step sizes (L&s) in the past. Six large and one small where L=5 & s=4
was one:

0, (141) 176, (318) 353, (494) 529, (671) 706, (847) 882, (1024) 1059,
1200

0 5 10 15 20 25 30 34

0 5 10 15 20 24 29 34
0 5 10 15 19 24 29 34
0 5 10 14 19 24 29 34
0 5 9 14 19 24 29 34
0 4 9 14 19 24 29 34
0 5 10 15 20 25 30 34

Using this same 'periodic table' method, you could also create these
two step size seven note scales in 34e...

0 4 8 12 16 20 24 34
0 4 8 12 16 20 30 34

While a few of these (1x6 & 4x3) are obviously very irregularly
proportioned, and while I wouldn't expect any of them to satisfy
someone whose tuning interest are primarily 'meantonesque...' I
thought I'd throw them out there anyway, as they do at least attempt
show some two step size seven note scale alternative mappings in 34e.

2x5 @:L=2 s=5 etc., should read: 2x5 @: L=7 s=4.
