Fox bassoons "tuned ... to a modified just scale"

the Fox (American makers of good bassoons) website
says this about some of their models:

i'd like to know exactly what they mean by "modified".

anyway, this is yet further evidence that modern orchestral
woodwinds are *not* produced with 12edo as their implemented
tuning ... which is what i had always erroneously assumed.
