To the best of my knowledge, the first person to use a moveable bridge
to obtain more than one ET from a guitar is Erv Wilson who had a guitar
fretted to 23-tet with a moveable bridge so he could play both 22 and
24. Erv did this in the 60's and probably still has the instrument.

Kraig, can you verify this and report?

(Shortly thereafter, he began to work in 41 with a jazz group, "The
Sound of Feeling," consisting of Gary David and two lovely women who
also played androids in the Star Trek episode, "Mudd's Women" (or the
other Mudd episode).)

The errors for these tunings are not great, though there is some
distortion in lower ends of the scales. Whether such mistuning would be
acceptable today is questionable, though.
