Bosanquet lattices

I've uploaded some jpegs to the Photos area here of what I'm calling
Bosanquet lattices. These are genuine mathematical lattices which are
also abstract keyboard designs for linear temperaments. The octaves
are arranged precisely along a horizontal line, and the lattice is a
equilateral triangular lattice (an A2 lattice, for any lattice
junkies out there.) If you imagine surrounding the vertices of the
lattice with hexagons, you see a keyboard.

I've put up pictures of lattices for meantone, miracle and
diaschismic so far, with various labeling schemes. I also made an
album to put them in, but I can't seem to get them into it. Advice on
how to do that would be welcome.

"This album is currently empty".

There are some files in the root album, but they actually are too
small to be legible.

That's the problem. What's the solution?

Actually, they are big, fat, and easily legible. You are looking at
something which they put between the thumbnail and the actual jpeg
for myterious Yahoo reasons.

You have a web site; why not post them there?

How do I get to the actual jpg?

this is what dave keenan's excel spreadsheet does, right?

I was planning to, but they are germane to the discussion here and
here they are.

Click on the thing which says "full size".

I'm no good at working that thing, but there are clear differences. I
start from a linear temperament, choose two suitable vals generating
it, and then get a lattice which taken concretely and pictorially can
be thought of as the basis for a keyboard arragement. You might look
at one of the lattices (I have ones up for meantone, miracle,
diaschismic and porcupine at the moment) and see if what you get from
Dave's spreadsheet bears any resemblence. What do you get for a
miracle or porcupine keyboard from it?

the only place i see "full size" is in "Full Size: 48 KB", and it's
not clickable.

what's causing you difficulty?

miracle is already there when the spreadsheet pops up. see it?

Look on top right-hand side. Then write an email to Yahoo telling
them they are screwing up again. :)

A flaky optical mouse and my failure to scroll down to the bottom.

> miracle is already there when the spreadsheet pops up. see it?

I put it there. We can this thing to find generators for
corresponding Bosanquet lattices, so clearly there is a connection.
I'll check and see if Dave gives an algorithm.

Where's here? The internet. How is yahoo any different than
your site? Yahoo groups service is probably distributed over
many servers in different physical locations, anyway.
