Indian intrvals for 12 notes to an octave

the modern indian gamut (definitely used on fixed-pitch instruments
such as the santoor) uses 45/32 for Ma tivra, and 27/16 instead of
5/3 for Dha shudda. otherwise, you've got it. in addition, there is
some preference for lowering Re komal about halfway to 135/128, so it
can function both ways.

I pretty sure that in practice these notes are all over the place + you've got the
characteristic pitch slides and ornaments on each degree of the raga ascending and
descending. Some of the ragas have such wild slides/ornaments that it's hard to find
the pitch center for the note. -Justin

well, i brought up the santoor precisely because it's impossible to
do any bending or sliding on it.
