yeah, i wish. i'm mad at myself now for not making
myself a copy of it when i had access to it at a
nearby university library in Philadelphia.

it's this one, right? ...

Jorgensen, Owen H. 1991.
_Tuning: containing the perfection of eighteenth-century
temperament, the lost art of nineteenth-century temperament,
and the science of equal temperament, complete with
instructions for aural and electronic tuning_
East Lansing, Mich.: Michigan State University Press.

the UCSD library has two books by him. here's the other:

Jorgensen,Owen. 1977.
_Tuning the historical temperaments by ear:
a manual of eighty-nine methods for tuning
fifty-one scales on the harpsichord, piano, and
other keyboard instruments_
Marquette: Northern Michigan University Press,

the first one is the big fat one of almost 800 pages.
(is that the one with the red cover?)

the second one "only" has 435 pages.

... looks like i need to put some money on
my UCSD copy card! ...
