Just found some things I thought I should let u all in on :

Great Macintosh software ->
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Make A TestTone 2.0 :

Make A TestTone is a generator of sinusoidal audio test signals. It
calculates flexible, highly accurate signals that are saved to either
SoundDesigner II, AIFF, WAV or Ensoniq Paris sound files.
In addition it drops markers in the sound files, indicating the exact
frequency or amplitude at that spot.

Also from the same folks : thOnk_0+2

"Free granular synthesis without having to think" :

thOnk_0+2 provides the sonic treasure-chest composers can turn to to harvest
fresh, unanticipated material to solve their writers blocks with, without
having to think at all.

It is an extremely simple to use Freeware Macintosh application, that uses
Granular Synthesis to produce very diverse sounds based upon a sound file
provided by the user, where you have NO CONTROL WHATSOEVER over the process.

Other great goodies by Tuukan Kotisivu :

Serial Composer

What? - Serial Composer is an application which lets the user specify
criteria and then searches for 12-tone-series that fulfill the criteria
specified by user.

What criteria? - Serial Composer can test series for their interval content,
components, self-similarity, augmentation, loopability, diatonics and few
other properties.

Mac? - Yes. Serial Composer requires a PPC with a system modern enough to
have Appearance Manager - and preferably a fast one, since there are up to
39916800 series to check.

He's also got :

Composers Toolbox

"... a useful tool for manipulating chords. It is mainly intended for a
composer of modern music in which manipulation of interval vectors of chords
is an inportant resource of inspiration."

The typewriting machine, when played with expression, is no more annoying
than the piano when played by a sister or near relation. -- Oscar Wilde
