dictionary addition?

I've noticed with all of the recent talk , that there's no dictionary
entry for either "synchronized beating", or even "beating". The latter
is pretty important to tuning issues, and the former I'm not sure what
it is . . . . .

(I recall that Paul Erlich produced a pretty cool beating jpeg recently).
