A funny thing happened to me on the way to a new temperament

Inspired by Margo, I decided to look for a temperament with eight 5/4s
and four 32/25 major thirds going around the circle of fifths. Letting
the fifths be [a,b,c,5/(a*b*c),a,b,c,5/(a*b*c),a,b,c,128/(25*a*b*c)]
and calculating the least squares solution, I ended up with 1/4-comma
meantone. I'm afraid I wasn't alert enough to see this is where I was
headed. :)
