While it is great that they are doing a Cage festival with the Ijsbreker, I
can't help remember how the Ijsbreker refuses to do an all-Partch festival.
I was told they only want to do new music, works that have never been done
before. It seems there is a double standard here, when the musicians are
Dutch. There was no interest in Partch, but yes to Cage. Hmmn... Johnny

Yeah, I don't know the reason behind it, but I doubt that
the nationality of the musicians has anything to do with it.
Often being foreign works as a recommendation here.
There are plenty of musicians who were being taken serious
only after having success abroad.
