Just a little bit of information... there are a couple of recordings by pianist Enid Katahn with just intonation and other "well-tempered" systems. One of them may be found on Amazon.com, and it's titled "Six Degrees of Tonality." Also available is "Beethoven in the Temperaments." If anyone has more recommendations for classical music in alternate tunings, please let me know. It would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Matt

hi matt -- the piano tuner who instigated these recordings and saw
them through, ed foote, is a member of this list.

you may want to seek out the recordings of bach's well-tempered
clavier as performed by gustav leonhardt and/or davitt moroney. also
moroney playing byrd's pavans and galliards.

if "classical music" includes 20th century art music, we on this list
can give you lots more recommendations . . . so does it?

cheers,
paul
