34 is seen to be the result of tempering out both the kleisma and the
diaschisma (which you could read off from
/tuning-math/files/dualzoomn.gif )

i think that kleismic temperament should be renamed hanson
temperament in his honor. note that all the ETs associated with him
are kleismic, as you can see from the url above or from the first
graph on http://sonic-arts.org/dict/eqtemp.htm . . .

If you look at the original paper

as linked to from the "Kleismic" entry in my catalog, you'll see it says at the top "Copyright 1989 Larry A. Hanson".

You should have seen it when Kraig put it forward as an alternative mapping for 72, after the miracle rediscovery.

He gives 19,34,53,72 and 87 in the paper.
