Is it same to come out now? I had left the Alternative Tuning
Mailing List about a year ago when there were about 2000 messages
per month. This summer, it looks like things have slowed down to
normal speed.

It's good to be back. Oh, and I finally found a microtonal trumpet.
The guy at the music store insisted on calling it a soprano
trombone.

In early music, the slide trumpet was a different looking instrument.

Nowadays, slide trumpet and soprano trombone mean the same thing.
Steven Bernstein plays slide trumpet in a New York band called Sex
Mob. They recorded three CD's of jazz music, in a style that reminds
me of John Zorn.

He's the only slide trumpet player I know of.
