updates to my Sumerian tuning page

well, slowly but surely, i'm being sucked back
into the tuning vortex ...

it just so happens that two (!) of the tiny handful
of people who have webpages about Sumerian and/or
Babylonian tuning have recently contacted me.

one of them (Mitch Kaye) lives right here in San Diego,
and so last weekend we got together and had a few beers.
then i was checking my Juno email account Saturday
and found two messages from the other (Richard Dumbrill),
whose great work i already quoted in my own research.

anyway, more about them later (I'M STILL TRYING TO
MAINTAIN MY VACATION!) ... but i *have* made a considerable
update to my own page, including new sub-headings, links
into the Tuning Dictionary for all terms appearing there,
and also new ASCII diagrams illustrating the string-lengths
for every step of the successively-closer approximations
to the 12-tET "major 3rd", "whole-tone", and "semitone".

these additions should make it considerably easier to
follow my thought, for those who were dumbfounded before.

it's been 5 months vacation from the tuning lists,
and as you can see i'm still peeking in from time
to time anyway.

this year i haven't yet gotten my real vacation.
(from work, that is)
