Hi there,

I've made a web page for Dan's over / under scales
in javascript.

Hi Robert,

Thanks a bunch, that works very nicely. I would think that there
should some useful material there for RI fans, or ET users looking for
a little something different out of their favorites.

What's most interesting to me is that it puts EDOs squarely in the
context of series segments. It also offers unique maps that translate
ratios to fractions of an octave in direct relation to the degree of
the bend, and I find that quite useful as well.

What would be ideal would be to modify applet so that it inverts the
process at the minimal error point and then works the ratios back
towards an O-series by way of simple ratio integers.

take care,

Hi Dan,

What about just inverting the scales?

1/1 10/9 5/4 10/7 5/3 2/1
->
1/1 6/5 7/5 8/5 9/5 2/1

and

1/1 38/33 41/31 44/29 47/27 2/1
->
1/1 54/47 29/22 62/41 33/19 2/1

I've added a Make OU scale button to the applet to do this.
