>Footloose and The San Francisco Electronic Music Festival are proud to
co-produce this special event. ELECTRIC WORDS features thirteen composers
whose work centers on text and the human voice-- sung, spoken, sampled and
manipulated-- combined with real-time electronics. Hosts/curators Amy X
Neuburg and Pamela Z have chosen a diverse group of well-known and emerging
composer/performers, with a broad range of works including text/sound
composition, art-rock, improvisational works, and storytelling, and
featuring an assortment of non-conventional electronic instruments. The
festival will present three artists per night in different combinations,
with different material at every performance and a number of
collaborations. There will also be informal on-stage conversations, giving
each artist a chance to discuss his or her work.
>
