The Truth about Tune

The Partch concert in Haarlem yesterday was a very nice
event. First Bob Gilmore gave a lecture about his life
and the authentically copied instruments were demonstrated:
the diamond marimba, adapted viola and adapted guitars I and II.
It's for the first time in the Netherlands that there's
a series of concerts with a complete Partch programme.
If you missed it, there are still concerts in Amsterdam
(tonight), Rotterdam and Maastricht, for the times see
the Huygens-Fokker website.

You can see Bob Gilmore and the musicians in the television
programme Vrije Geluiden which was Sunday and is repeated
this Tuesday night on Nederland 3, 0.40 h. It's in the last
half hour.

A radio broadcast is planned for 15 May on VPRO, but I don't
know the time yet.

John Schneider told me he has a new CD coming on Bridge
Records this summer.
