music is ineffable, yes. but various technical discussions about
music, though of relatively minor importance to music itself,
should strive to use well-defined and unambiguous terms
wherever possible -- wouldn't you agree? if not, then you'd have
no ground to stand on when you participate in various
discussions here, such as your recent rebuttal of carl. carl could
simply use the "ineffable" argument and his statements would
be beyond falsification.
