I suppose this may be off-topic (altho I'd argue that
it's not), but for anyone interested in the absorbing
chronology of musical events in Vienna during the first
decade of this century, chiefly revolving around Mahler,
Schoenberg, and Webern, and leading up to the beginnings
of atonality, I've created a webpage (a work in progress):

http://www.ixpres.com/interval/monzo/schoenberg/Vienna1905.htm

I wrote it in the present tense, in an attempt to convey
the excitement of the times.

I'll eventually fill in more details, but all the really
important stuff is already there.

Enjoy!
