clarification / waffling

Obviously, since I contradict this statement in the very next
paragraph, this was also a poor choice of words. I should have
said something like:

'But if the singers were unaccompanied, it is highly likely
to me that they sang these 'dissonances' most often as the
usual 5-limit ratios, at any time in history.'
