The program I'm doing now (though it's late, I'm not up till 12:00)..

Having pottered (and struggled) with the Maqamat, I've dumped the
program and jumped into the void with this:
(screenshot, it's not too far from operational)

Hope it's pretty self explanatory, like the name ? %)
What it does (hope Manuel doesn't mind, hello) is take the entire
SCALA database and connect it all together in the way I think is now
correct (I hope it's right, I'm no mathematician or theorist ;)
As the M$ Database has so much runtime files needed, I wrote my own
simple routines, so the program is very small.
My previous programs were far from useful, as the modes of tunings
were not incorporated, so they were only tuning mappings.

The way it's written, using many imported text file templates/data,
means it should be quite easy to customise, though I've still to write
up some mode and tunings editors.
I might even add it to another program, which generates tuned FM
based samples, so any sampler can play microtuned, though the
synthesis quality is not too good.

The export formats I intend to support first are NI Pro-52, VAZ and
the OaSys, in that order cos the pro-52 is easy (might even be
Reaktor compatible?? Anyone have info on tuning this program ?),
though some custom exports could be done as well as custom keymappings
and perhaps midi support of certain synths..

Have I got the jist right ? (I know most of these modes are not meant
to be mixed with most of these tunings, but they fit for the
experimenter ;)

If it is right (vaguely), I estimate a total (without additions to
the Db) of 260,000 mode/tuning combinations, which is far too many for
any mere mortal ! ;)
If it's not, there's always the ET or Edit tuning buttons :P

>What was Maqamat!?

It was for Maqam creation (based on the modes of 24)
Screen (early)

I'm scrapping it and just making it for the Synth Manipulator, to
program a few HW synths with quarter tones instead.

Heh, in Uk, Father Ted comedy TV program, it's a substitute for
fucker, so the kids can watch it (as the program was to my brain, not
the TV program tho ;)

Feckerlicious, great word play :)

So, does noone want a program to make microtonal tuning slightly more
mundane than a numerical science ? ;)
