I find it interesting that the overall 'gestures' of the sales pitch here
are so overtly 'microtonal...' It would be my guess that some company, in
the next year or so, will put forth a commercially manufactured 19-tET
guitar... I wonder how many 'informed' (or better yet: genuinely
interested) people are (or, are going to be) involved in the developmental
stages of these commercial instruments and their accompanying
('microtonal') sales pitch? I personally think that 'microtonality' will be
commercially pitched (by guitar manufacturers with little interest in
'microtonality,' to guitarist with little or no knowledge of
'microtonality') as some variation on:

MICROTONALITY - MUSIC OF THE FUTURE

All of which I would (personally) have a great many mixed feelings about...

Does anyone else here have any thoughts (or a radically differing take) on
any of this?

Dan

Viger's been making fretless guitars for a while,
but I've never seen one outside of an ad. So Viger
isn't exactly taking the world by storm. I wonder how they sound.
