Hi Kraig,

Possibly this may be a matter of terminology?

Mathematicians and programmers are used to "string"
meaning any sequence of characters, numbers or symbols.
http://www.dictionary.com/cgi-bin/dict.pl?term=string&r=67
(meaning 6)

BTW if you search for a word in Google, then click on the
highlighted word in the title, you get to an on-line dictionary
definition, which is how I found this page.

I haven't been following the Miracle thread.

However, as a mathematician, I assume he means

steps 4 3 4 3

instead of steps 5 2 5 2.

Does that make sense of it?

I certainly value your contributions (what I understand of them
- because you use specialist musical terms too, of course).

I think most of us have discovered at one time or another that
it is a bit easy too to press the send button without carefully
thinking about what one has written, as one sees so often
in these forums. Also, people have been known to apologise
for things they have said.
