I don't think so. 60 dB (above minimum discernable) is sometimes
characterized as average room background sound level. Times two, 120
dB, is usually considered the threshold of pain. Roughly speaking, I
always think of twice as loud as about 12 dB, or about two levels of
musical dynamics (mp to f).
