Dear friends,

Congratulations to those of you who took part in the Microthon, and thanks
to those who wrote reviews.

I've recently updated my paper 'Harmonic errors in single-chain-of-fifth
tunings' to include more explanation and discussion, and added RMS error to
the charts (you know, the ones that look like alien landscapes).

In it I give a reason to define a wolf fifth as any having an error outside
-12.7 to +12.9 cents.

I've also produced a sequel: 'Harmonic errors in DOUBLE-chain-of-fifth
tunings' with a whole new set of charts, just to make Paul Erlich (alias
Brett Barbaro) happy.

I'd appreciate any suggestions, comments or corrections.

I've also added an RMS error-surface plot to the paper on my strange
9-limit temperament.

You'll find all of these at http://dkeenan.com/Music/

Regards,
