Hi Pat:
They came out at about $475. That was like
four years ago. I've seen them in used bins
for $290 or so, but even that was over a year
ago. I'd be surprised if they weren't available
used for less than two bills.

Clean sound, OK to use, especially with a
patch librarian. On-board stereo effects that
help. Only one user-definable tuning
table. 1-cent claimed resolution (sounds OK to me),
but that's only 12 locations per octave and
only +/- 100 cents on each. So whatever you do
needs to be withn those constraints. (e.g. I can't
do any of my 16-TET or 20-TET chromatic
pieces using the Korg).

A bit limited (8 voice poly) if you're into
thick textures. But like David says, a real workhorse
and there's nothing greater than a piece of gear
you absolutely use the snot out of.

I got mine 5 1/2 years ago for a bit more. The current versionis the NX5R
for about $589, but I've seen for as little as
$499.

I'd agree on that. I should pick up a second one, I wonderhow well they're
in tune with each other.

Not a big deal but for the record it's +/- 99 cents.
