Bill Frisell's "Nashville"

Some of you may be familiar with Bill Frisell's work as a jazz guitarist,
both as a leader and a sideman. I heard Bill Frisell's "Nashville" CD
recently, and although
he is a 12tet player, there is a lot of very tasty microtuning going on
here. Bill constantly bends pitches around in the context of
these simple "country" chord progressions. These are not blues
style bends, nor are they vibratoes, (note the Quayle spelling) but they
seem to me to be genuine microtonal explorations. I found this album very
interesting, and extremely beautiful. I'd be interested to hear what y'all
think of this album.

That album is stunning. It's apparent simplicity is beguiling. Don't be
fooled by it's simplicity. There is alot of funky stuff going on there.
