Stuart Isacoff _Temperament_ arrived

My copy just arrived...

Rather strange looking cover. It's a *new* book, and they try to
make it look like an "antique"... charred edges, etc. That's a
curiosity.

Just a cursory look so far... looks pretty entertaining, not very
technical at all, but involving the names of *many* musicians and
theorists we have discussed on this list...

Should be a "pleasure" read...

I should mention that the book came up in a discussion at the recent
American Composers Forum gathering among "general" composers so,
apparently, it's been quite in circulation. Probably the review in
the _New Republic_ and other places, despite all the errors, led to
this general "buzz..." .....
