I didn't have the whole *Delusion* [Partch]

I realize now that my experience with Partch's _Delusion of the Fury_
is through the American Composer's Forum "Enclosure IV" the Madeline
Tourtelot film... but it isn't the whole piece.

I always enjoyed the film, but there are many cuts and things go back
and forth... I'll bet the "Enclosure VI" which, supposedly, is the
entire thing, would be quite a bit different... Of course, that's a
CD and only the *music...*

So, I don't know the entire experience yet... and can't compare it
yet to _Petals..._

Yeah, and that film is an unfortunate mess. The soundtrack is *not*
the same as the recording of the piece, which was done later by CBS;
the entire film project was nearly an afterthought, and Partch pretty
much detested it.

Get, or borrow, Delusion (the CD). You'll find quite a bit to chew
on...

Here, here! To Partch; to this listener, the greatest composer yet
to work with explicit microtonality, and a great composer by any
right. Delusion is a bona fide work of Art.
