good buzz at party

I got a real good buzz at the party.

It's not what you're thinking. I mean a buzz about microtonality.

The American Composers Forum meeting/party went well, and several
people stayed afterward to talk to me about new directions in my
music...

People seemed particularly intrigued by the lattices and how I
composed using those.

Several composers presented pieces and several were live, but it
seemed there was a special "buzz" reserved for some of these new
directions.

Of course, some of the composers who stayed afterwards were my
friends... :), but, still, it seemed as though people were intrigued
by things that weren't just the expected.

One cellist, in fact, confessed that she was really tired of playing
the standard repertoire over and over again, and was already
interested in seeing my new cello piece, even before I've written
it...

So, maybe the time has come for xenharmonics among "traditional"
composer circles...
