I've uploaded a webpage to my site with the program notes
of my latest piece, _A Noiseless Patient Spider_, a setting
of the poem by Walt Whitman, and my favorite poem.

http://www.ixpres.com/interval/monzo/spider/spider.htm

The premier of the piece will be the conluding selection
of the Microthon 99, part of the 1999 American Festival of
Microtonal Music, on Sunday, May 23, approximately 8:45 pm,
at NYU's Physics Auditorium in New York City.

The webpage also includes a MIDI file of the instrumental parts.

(The patch called 'Pad 8 (Sweep)', in the important middle
section of the piece, may come out sounding rather noisy
on different set-ups: it should be a soft sustaining sound
with a bandsweep filter progressively damping the overtones
from highest to lowest. If this is a problem, try changing all
those tracks to cello for that section.)
