HTML/Source-file Silver lining?

It seems that, since the Yahoo source document (as Graham just pointed out) is available, and the fact that any presently valid message link with the trailing text of ?source=1 will directly link one to that source text document, as with:

/tuning/topicId_31242.html#31242?source=1

and it is late at night in north america (at a time when others are not posting), where one can *accurately* predict the message number which one's post will be assigned (the achilles' heel of all this), one could (with HTML authoring) - color all of one's message in WHITE, *except* for a hyper-link which targets the source document of the message (with PLAIN TEXT formatted diagrams which will not "lie" to one as to formatting, as HTML will).

If, of course, someone else posts during the time in between your prediction of your upcoming posts number, and your actual post is subsequently received, you feel like an idiot... :)

Second best, a quick and handy link to the "coherent" diagram, at the bottom of the left-justified "wreckage", at least "feels more efficient (albeit not much different) than visiting the "View Source" link at the bottom of the page...

At least reference links will dutifully point us back to the (stone age) text, complete with all the leading and trailing garbage! :)

The more things change, the more entropy increases. SNAFU, J Gill
