Tuning In

Oh Paul...you mentioned that there were serious errors in Wilkinson's
book "Tuning In;" as I don't know squat about the math involved, and
would not catch any such mistakes, could you elaborate a bit on where he
screws up? Thanks...Hstick

It's been a while since I looked at it, so I don't remember the
details . . . I think one of the Werckmeister III pitches was about
25 cents off, for example, and there were a few conceptual errors
too . . . but it would be a fine book for a beginner to open his or
her mind with.

I detailed some of these errors back when this list was at
Mills, around May or June 1998, in case those posts are archived
anywhere... I couldn't find it.

John Sankey's webpage also notes that Wilkinson has errors
in Werckmeister III:
