Microtonal CD's

The old timers already know this, but for any new guys/occasional
posters, I wanted to mention that I have 3 CD's of Microtonal guitar
music available..."The Gate" is very hard rock, and features 12 tone, 19
tone, and one fretless piece; "Acoustic Stick" is 19 and 34 tone
acoustic guitar music, and features John Starrett on bass, and Ernie
Crews on percussion; and, my latest, "Other Worlds," is electronic space
music in 19, 34, and 12 tone eq; there's also one fretless piece, which
has Starrett on Starrboard, a fascinating tapping instrument of his own
invention. They are $15, postage paid, from Box 150271 Lakewood, CO
80215. I also have a 19 tone music theory book available for
$10....Hstick

And they're very impressive performances too.

Neil,

I'd be interested in buying one of your CD's (and the
theory book), but you don't mention the ratios of tet
used in each... Since that's the direction I'm moving
in at the moment, I'd like to buy the one with the
most 19-tet, for now... Let me know...

Thanks,
Brian Szymanski

Neil's playing on the Mills College tuning forum compilation CD (both
with his own all acoustic group and as a sideman on John Starrett's
two pieces) is well worth checking out as well--the Ramones and Elliot
Easton meet 19-tet of Limp off to School is worth the price of
admission alone!

Is this still available?

Those are a riot! Very different feeling from the rest of the CD, but still fun music.

I still have quite a few copies. $10 each.

And while I'm at it--Gary Morrison's New Awakening is a personal micro
fave of mine from the music I've heard from people who post to these
lists, and it's also available on the aforementioned compilation too.

It's a very nice combination of stately and somber, and bits of it got
stuck in my head for days... its deliberateness is infectious.
