A friend of mine is reading a book by a Ron Garow, who has worked in
the Hollywood music biz..evidently, he has a chapter about different
tuning systems, and mentions the Just Intonation network, Xenharmonicon,
etc. Anybody know him...just curious...Hstick
PS...is the Xenharmonicon related to the Necronomicon of HP
Lovecraft...?

Ron Gorow (corrected spelling) has just been in contact with me vis a
vis Partch stuff, and sent a copy of the book. Entitled "Hearing and
Writing Music - Professional Training for Today's Musician", it is an
impressive book. It just came a couple of days ago, and I've only
glanced. If anyone is curious, you can see about it at:

He has forwarded some of the details for an updated edition of the
book and wants things to be correct. I'm going over the Partch stuff,
and if anything leaps out otherwise I'll probably come here for
answers!

Neil, either that's a great joke, or shame on you for not knowing
John Chalmer's multi-volume journal of microtonal -- oops,
xenharmonic -- music and theory.

Cheers,
Jon
