Hailing Frequencies Open !

Greetings all,
I'm hoping to have my web site up by the end of January.
It is as might be expected a guide to my fetishes & other friends.

Among the things I'm working on is "X-Guitar : The Microtonal Guitar
Home Page"
Which I hope will serve as a guide for aspiring Xen guitarists,
curiousity seekers,
enlarge the microtonalist community, and end conflicts in the Middle
East, Africa,
& the U.S. Congress.

Below is a list that I've put together. I'd appreciate any additions,
as well as any pointers to websites, recordings not on Manuel's
Discography (the
one at <ftp://ella.mills.edu>, pearls of wisdom, blah, blah, & blah...

Listing of microtonal guitarists (or just plain folks who have them
and tinker about now and then...) : professionals & neophytes

- Ken Rubenstein (not sure if he uses microtonal guitars.)
- Jon Catler
- John Starret
- Neil Haverstick
- Graham Breed
- Ivor Darreg
- Joe Monzo
- Paul Erlich
- David Canright
- John S. Allen
- John Schneider
- Charles Lucy
- Easley Blackwood
- Alita Morrison
- Wim Hoogewerf
- Steve Vai
- Didier Aschour
- David Beardsley
- Gary Morrison
- Ronnie le Tekro
- John Gzowsky
- Rod Poole
- Robin Perry

BTW, I've heard a little of Jazz slide guitarist Dave Tronzo's work and
it certainly sounds like it goes way off 12-TET/EDO. I'd like to
hear any comments about Tronzo.

Ciao,
Drew

I would like to add some more info to the guitarists out there who are
into microtuning. I have been working on a website that is dedicated to
myself (Jeff Collins), Dan Stearns, and Ken Rubenstein. All three of us are
into microtuning. Dan is probably the most into the new world, having up to
five different tuning systems in one piece. Making for some music that needs
to be heard with certain restrictions to get the full effect of his music.
Ken does music in Quarter tones and just intonation systems. And I mostly
work with bending of an already unnatural sounds (which sounds like Musique
Concrete, but actually comes from a single prepared guitar).

I do hope this can interest any of you into checking out our worlds of
sound at...
http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Stadium/1429/STRANGETONES.html

Hope you can find something that catches your ears.

Sincerely,
Jeff Collins
