a little algorithmic JI sketch --
www.neuron.net/~pfly/ear/mp3s/TrapezoidDream.mp3
a nine minute dream of trapezoidal waveforms through a
basic lowpass filter. each note enters randomly between
0.1 and 5 seconds after previous note.
pitches determined by randomly generating ratios between 1:13
and 13:1 (logrithmically tending towards 1:1). tonic = 330 hertz.

Please note that the file is (mis-?)named TrapzeoidDream.mp3. Ooh, I
hate it when that happens...
Cheers,

This is cool . . .
Wanna hear and (you need 3D glasses) see a really cool interactive
algorithmic JI thing?
http://www.uq.net.au/~zzdkeena/Music/StereoDekany.xls
I recommend pumping up the "Distance at which volume goes to zero"
slider, trying out different patches, and trying out different sets
of factors (for example, 8,9,10,11,12).

Hi
I like your work, especially trapezoid which I find very hypnotic.
Are you using SuperCollider to do it?
We have a offshoot of the maintuning list which actually talks about
some of the practical aspects of making music with microtunings that
you might be interested in.
Peace,
Mary
