I've been having connection problems, I can only
receive email. So this message will sit in my

A 3 octave major scale with 4 notes on a string, slide on the half steps.

Right. But then the Catler gtr isn't 12tet - is it?

I'll pass.

Maybe.

And why would you want to tune from
high to low. Very confusing. Just name
the fundamental and what the other strings
are tuned to.

And then Seth:

I've had an electric fretless guitar since 11/2000. It's a blast.

If I told you, I'd have to kill you.

Seriously...the most I can say is that it's tuned closely to 12tet.

Let's wait and see what the scales look like?

We could still tune synths. I should hook up my Proteus and tune it.

I live in a synth free zone, approximations of the 31-tET will do.

So how are those zithers coming along and when can we hear examples on line?

I haven't yet composed anything on the 31-tET beast, although I've used it a
bit for learning approximations of various just intervals, improvisations
and hands on understanding of meantone. I seem to resonate alot more with my
fretless guitar, and will hopefully get something down on tape soon.

In the meantime, I recently found a fretless banjo improv that I recorded
two years ago that is worth posting, and have burned a CD of it. The next
step in the process is to convert that to mp3, and upload. I should
hopefully get to that soon...
