Hi Monz,

I recently posted a question about meantone temperaments and received from you and others some very helpful replies. In yours though you quote from a book authored by "Lindly/Turner-Smith 1993". I have since looked on the net to find the name of this book and where I might find it - this has proved unsuccessful. If you could let me know the name it would be a great help.

Cheers,

Tim

Hi Tim,

Here's the reference:

Lindley, Mark, and Turner-Smith, Ronald. 1993.
_Mathematical Models of Musical Scales: A New Approach_.
Bonn: Verlag fr systematische Musikwissenschaft, GmbH.

There's a review of the book in MTO [Music Theory Online],
by John D. Cuciurean, which you would find helpful:

I see that that link was broken by a line-feed.
Copy and paste it into a text editor, remove the line-feed,
and copy and paste into your browser.

Or actually, in this case you can simply type in the missing "v"
at the end ... much easier.
