Hi,

I hope you haven't felt attacked by responses you've gotten so far.

In the past this has happened because there are strong opinions
from some experienced folks and the volume is high. As a result
there a whole bunch of sister lists to choose from now that are
trying to seperate things out to establish various tones and comfort
levels... so ,if the volume is too much, or there is attack
in the tone on this list, just try another, there are now a lot to
choose from!

The moderated lists are usually trying to deal with the fact that what
we are all talking about is music and that can be a very sensitive
subject, and it would be nice to have a community that supports your
search.

newjustintonation - (low volume for people who don't want to hear a
lot about "useful approximations")
spiritualtuning - (moderated? More concerned with effects of tuning on
psych soul and body, the only one I haven't spent
much time on)
makingmicrotonalmusic - (moderated version of a "less theoretic, more
practical for composers and performers" version
of the tuning list).
crazymusic - (unmoderated version of same which replaced a moderated
version which went belly up, as crazymusic might)
tuningmath - where topics from lists go when they leave the
realm of high school algebra. (I subscribe and don't
understand what goes on there...)
tuningchallenges - bizarre list of random topics that was originally
started to isolate some flame wars.
metatuning - the list to talk about all the lists!
tuninglist - still the undisputed center of the yahoo tuning list
universe!

I don't think it's moderated per se, and it's actually

I don't think anything on that list has used math beyond the high
school level, and if there's something you don't understand, please
ask, your questions will be answered fully! And it's actually
