In Digest 155.6 David Finnamore said
<<Really, how does one practically implement any tuning
system with more than 30-some notes per octave? Even a
"full-size" keyboard would only cover less than 2/3 of an
octave in 144t-ET.>>

Starr Labs has a working prototype of an 810 key microtonal
keyboard. Over the next few months Starr Labs and I will be
finalizing the Win 95/98/NT based setup software for it. The
key layout is a descendant of the Bosanquet design adapted
by Erv Wilson. Each key can be assigned a separate note and
channel for output. The unit has two MIDI outs and a MIDI in.
The keys output MIDI velocity information and aftertouch will be
available at a later date. Price is expected to be about
US$7500.
Their web page is

Just follow the MIDI controllers link. For questions about the
setup software specifically email me privately.

That isolated quotation mark at the end is supposed to be
the symbol for 'cents'. The 'great diesis' is ~ 41.06 cents.
Sorry.
