Have y'all seen the movie "Pi" which is now rentable as a video? Daron
Aronofsky's math wizard sees patterns of numbers in all things. The spiral
is taken as the universal pattern (including shells and cyclones). I wonder,
should we map out "spiral tunings" other than Pythagorean?

I have used a spiral golden mean tuning for a movement of my "Alternity" solo
for double bass. In one sense all equal temperaments are spiral tunings of
their dieses. Simply adding diesis to diasis (smallest useable interval)
leading to an octave can be describe as a spiraled diasis. More interesting
here is a simple 5/4 spiral. And other important ratios, as well. Could be
fertile territory for explanation.
